I got everyone up early for our trip to the Pentagoet Inn at Castine Me. We left the hotel at 10 am. I was up at 7 disputing the bill. There were about $300 in over chargers. The hotel was expensive enough without them adding to the room rate and of course forgetting to give us the total discount for meals. I handled that annoyance, got Bill and Sarah and off we went on our drive. I took the first 3 hour shift as it should take about 6 hours to get to Castine. But first, I had to stop and get Bill his carmel, coffee frappuccino with whip cream and carmel sauce on top.
The drive itself was uneventful as we made sure to stop every two hours so dad could stretch his back out and walk a little. He is doing wonderful. We arrived at the Pentagoet and Julie was there to greet us with open arms. Our rooms are on the top floor side-by-side. We got settled in the room and came down to the Passport Pub for a well deserved cocktail. It is good to be back!
